- Have the goal be action orientedΒ (Make the goal something you have to take action. Β For example, to lose 50 pounds I need to start a low glycemic diet and start walking 4 times a week) Β (Another goal might be, I would like to be healthier, so I will eliminate dairy and sugar from my diet)

- Set a time frame to achieve your goalΒ (You can quit smoking in 1 day, but it takes 12 weeks at least to make it stick. Β As well, you can lose 50 pounds, but it will take 12 weeks. Β Make your time frame realistic.)
